I’m especially looking forward to reading his sci-fi criticism and nonfic and, now, “Beyond Apollo”. Malzberg is a very sharp thinker on sci-fi, literature, and the world they have created and which we live in, and he is fast becoming a literary hero of mine.

Beyond Apollo is still my favorite & one of my fave books, period. It has a mordant, defeated feel to it (as does much Malzberg) that, frankly, I related to due to depression. I was also shocked to find that he’s the only science-fiction writer I know of who doesn’t believe in space exploration.

But aside from that, Barry M. is a wonderful wordsmith, too.

Find the book (& his others) and read it/them–it’s great, and let’s hope they figure out an equally brilliant way to put this cerebral story on film!…
